Relays with forcibly guided contacts are normative elementary relays according to IEC 61810-1. The peculiarity of these electromechanical components consists of a special set of contacts in accordance with EN 50205 (IEC 61810-3 in the future), in which all contacts are connected together so that NO and NC contacts are never closed simultaneously in the failed condition. In opposition to standard relays, this allows for monitoring the switch position of the relay, even if one of the contacts does not open, eg when a contact is welded.

Relays with forced guidance are used mostly in controls of functional safety, therefore wherever life and limb of people must be protected. With their help load and monitoring circuits in safety controls can be linked and monitored easily. A high degree of diagnostic coverage and reliability predestine our relays for applications in machine and plant construction, as well as process technology, medical devices, in elevator controls or in rail technology, to name just a few applications.

Our relay series with two to ten contacts form the basis for a variety of options. Switching currents from 5 mA to 16 A are covered as well as relay drives for excitation voltages of 3 VDC to 220 VDC.
